PANAJI: Ramesh Tawadkar, a member of the Goa Legislative Assembly, stated that he has never pushed for his inclusion in the Cabinet with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant or the BJP leadership.
However, he asserted that the most crucial thing in politics is to treat every position with dignity and provide the last individual with government facilities and amenities.
He also told the media that the festival is not an attempt to curry favor with his rivals, pointing out that the Adarsh Yuva Sangh was already in place when he was elected as an MLA in 2005.
For the past 24 years, we have been hosting the Lokotsav celebration. Over the years, the festival has only gotten bigger and bigger. We have plans to hold Lokotsav 365 days a year on its 25th anniversary next year, not just to highlight the rich rural cultural legacy but also to make sure it supports rural artisans,” he said.
The three-day festival drew about a lakh attendees the previous year, but Tawadkar anticipates an unprecedented turnout this year.
