PANAJI: A meeting of the District Level Coordination Committee (DLCC), North Goa was chaired by District Magistrate Ankit Yadav, IAS, to review and finalise arrangements for the smooth, fair and secure conduct of the NEET examination in the district.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Collectors, Mamlatdars, representatives of the National Testing Agency (NTA), Centre Supervisors and officials from Police, Education, Higher Education, Health, KTCL, Electricity Department and IT Department.
During the meeting, the preparedness of examination centres was reviewed in detail. The District Magistrate directed officials to ensure availability of essential facilities including uninterrupted power supply, CCTV surveillance, drinking water, sanitation and proper seating arrangements for candidates.
Security arrangements including deployment of police personnel, safe handling of confidential examination material, frisking procedures, biometric verification and prevention of unfair practices were also discussed.
Special focus was placed on ensuring a hassle-free experience for candidates. Directions were issued for effective traffic management near examination centres and support for candidates with disabilities and special needs.
KTCL was instructed to arrange special buses for candidates and create awareness about the transport facilities in advance. The Health Department was directed to deploy medical teams and ambulances at examination centres.
The District Magistrate stressed strict compliance with NTA guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures, directing all departments to maintain coordination and ensure the examination process is conducted efficiently.
