Mapusa police has arrested a man for allegedly harassing a little girl aboard a bus at the Mapusa bus stop.
The juvenile victim, a schoolgirl, was traveling home when the event happened, according to the police, at approximately 3 p.m.
The accused, Dickson Lobo, allegedly sat next to her as she was sitting in a parked bus and acted inappropriately, allegedly trying to touch her and insulting her modesty.
In accordance with pertinent provisions of the Goa Children’s Act, the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act, and the BNS Act, 2023, the Mapusa police immediately filed an offense report after the event. After then, Lobo was brought into custody after being apprehended.
