CANACONA: In a self accident a retired motor driver with Fire Services is severally injured early Friday morning on Manohar Parrikar Canacona Bypass Road (MPCBR) at Rajbhag area.
According to Canacona police. Ravi Kankonkar, resident of Kindlem was riding a Scooter bearing registration number GA 10 B6393 proceeding towards Karwar, when his scooter skidded off the road and he fell off suffering injuries .
The mishap occurred as early as 7 am Friday morning, and even as some passersby requisitioned 108 ambulance, some more people were also assembled to assist the injured.
Canacona MLA/Speaker on hearing about the accident also rushed to the spot when medics from the 108 ambulance lifted the injured Komarpant on a stretcher before putting him in the ambulance.
After providing first-aid at the Community Health Centre, the injured but out of danger declared Komarpant is shifted to District Hospital Margao, informed police sources.
Ravi Komarpant is a Retired Motor Driver cum Operator with the Department of Fire Services, informed sources.
