PANAJI: Panaji Police have registered a case against two persons for allegedly cheating a customer of ₹1.90 lakh through a holiday package scheme.
A case has been registered at Panaji Police Station under CR No. 107/2026 under Section 318(4) read with 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Act, 2023, based on a complaint filed by Aman Kumar, a 30-year-old resident of Kerala.
According to the complaint, the incident took place on February 13, 2026, at Crown Hotel, Panaji, where the accused allegedly induced the complainant to purchase a tour package from Beatrix Holiday Private Limited.
The accused, identified as Gaurish Ratnakar Shirodkar (49) and Geetesh Ratnakar Shirodkar (44), both residents of Tiswadi, Goa, allegedly promised tour services with access to various 4-star and 5-star hotels across India and abroad.
However, when the complainant attempted to avail the package benefits, the services were allegedly not provided. The accused also allegedly failed to refund the amount, resulting in an alleged loss of ₹1.90 lakh to the complainant.
Further investigation in the case is being carried out by PSI Deepesh Shetkar of Panaji Police Station.
