VERNA: A motorcycle accident at the Verna Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) area left a pillion rider with grievous injuries after the rider allegedly lost control of the motorcycle on a curve on September 30.
According to the complaint lodged by ASI Paresh Fal Dessai of Verna Police Station, the incident occurred at around 9.20 pm near Vijay Logistic, IDC Verna.
Police said the accused rider, Ayush Kumar Saini, a resident of Vasco, was riding a Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle with pillion rider Jai Govind Singh, a resident of Jharkhand. The duo was travelling from the Water Tank area of IDC towards Titan, Verna.
When they reached the curve near Vijay Logistic, the rider allegedly lost control of the motorcycle, causing both the rider and pillion rider to fall onto the tar road.
The pillion rider, Jai Govind Singh, sustained grievous injuries, while the rider, Ayush Kumar Saini, also suffered injuries in the accident.
Further investigation is being conducted by ASI Paresh Fal Dessai of Verna Police Station.
