New Delhi: Security agencies in Jammu and Kashmir have launched an investigation after a video allegedly showing a pro-Pakistan poster in the Pul Doda area surfaced online, triggering concern among authorities.
The viral clip reportedly features a poster displaying images of Shehbaz Sharif and Asim Munir. The poster is said to have been placed on a parapet and contains messages praising Pakistan’s role in regional matters, along with references to Kashmir.
According to officials, the content of the poster includes language that could potentially disturb public order. In response, Doda Police have registered a case under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and initiated a detailed probe.
Authorities are currently working to determine whether the video is genuine or digitally manipulated. Investigators are examining the clip’s origin, including its geo-tagged location, to establish whether the incident actually took place at the reported site.
Police officials stated that no physical poster has been recovered from the location so far, and no arrests have been made. Efforts are underway to trace those responsible and verify the authenticity of the footage.
The incident has put local security agencies on alert, with officials emphasising that all angles are being explored. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have assured that further details will be made public once the facts are established.
