PANAJI: The Goa Police have constituted five committees, each headed by DySPs, to examine the video footage of physical efficiency tests conducted during the recruitment of PSIs.
The Physical Efficiency Tests were conducted mid-Nov 2022.
“It has been decided to view the entire video footage of the Physical Efficiency Test of the candidates qualified in the Physical Efficiency Test for the post of Police Sub-Inspector in Goa Police Department conducted from 17.11.2021 to 25.11.2021 to verify if any discrepancies arose in the Physical Efficiency Test,” the order states.
The order states that five committees under DySPs are now constituted to view the exclusive video footage of the Physical Efficiency Test of the candidates qualified in the Physical Efficiency Test for the post of Police Sub-Inspector in the Goa Police Department.
It is alleged that some candidates passed the return test but failed the physical examination but were later marked passed.
After a long delay, the State government had finally notified the Goa Police Service Rules 2022.
Unemployed educated youths aged 21-30 will now stand a chance of being directly recruited to the posts of DySPs.
With the notification of new service rules, 40 per cent of DySP posts will now be filled through direct recruitment, while 60 per cent will be through promotion.
