PANAJI: A two-day regional workshop on DDU-GKY 2.0 and RSETI 2.0 concluded in Panjim, bringing together key stakeholders from multiple states to strengthen skill development, employment generation and entrepreneurship opportunities for rural youth.
The workshop focused on improving programme implementation, enhancing inter-state coordination, and aligning state-level action plans with national priorities. Discussions also emphasised scaling up impact through better convergence between institutions and schemes.
Participants included representatives from Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan, along with senior officials from State Rural Livelihood Missions, State Skill Development Missions and other key institutions.
Among the dignitaries present were Rajya Sabha MP Sadanand Shet Tanavade, Director at the Ministry of Rural Development Rajpriya Singh, Director (Rural Development) Premraj Shirodkar, and representatives from National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRD&PR), NABCONS, National Academy of RUDSETI, and sponsor banks.
Officials noted that the workshop provided a valuable platform for sharing best practices, addressing challenges, and charting a roadmap to empower rural youth through skills, employment and enterprise development initiatives.
