MANDREM: A 41-year-old Russian national has been booked by Mandrem Police for allegedly staying illegally in Goa without valid travel documents.
According to police, the complaint was lodged by Devendra Pingle, Police Inspector attached to the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO), Panaji. During a verification conducted at around 2:00 pm on August 5 at Gawadewada, Mandrem, the accused, identified as Denis Fominov, son of Evgenii Fominov, was allegedly found residing in India without a valid passport and visa.
Police said the accused was staying at the residence of Nitesh Gawade at House No. 185/A, Gawadewada, Mandrem, Pernem.
A case has been registered under Section 23(a) of the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025. Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Jaydeep Palyekar of Mandrem Police Station.
