MAPUSA: Yamanappa Madar, a 28-year-old sanitation worker in Ektanagar, Mapusa, suffocated to death after falling inside a septic tank, in a tragic event that shocked the community.
The Fire and Emergency Services (FES) responded quickly to the incident earlier today and were able to recover the worker’s body.
Devoted to his job, Yamanappa Madar was performing routine maintenance when the tragic event occurred. Although the incident’s circumstances are still being looked into, early reports indicate that he may have suffocated after falling into the septic tank.
The incident happened in Ektanagar, Mapusa, and the authorities there were promptly notified. Equipped with specialized personnel and equipment, the Fire and Emergency Services arrived at the scene to undertake the difficult task of extracting Yamanappa Madar from the septic tank.
Before he could be saved, Yamanappa Madar suffocated to death, despite the heroic efforts of the FES team. Condolences are flooding in from neighbors, coworkers, and local authorities as the community mourns the loss of a devoted employee.
