PANAJI: The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has approved the appointment of Sanjay Barde as the State Chairperson of the Kisan Congress, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee, with immediate effect.
The appointment was approved by Congress President and communicated by AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal, MP, through an official press release dated September 10, 2026.
The Goa Pradesh Congress Committee congratulated Barde on his appointment and expressed confidence that he would work towards strengthening the Kisan Congress and further advancing the interests and concerns of Goa’s farming community.
The appointment assumes significance as the party seeks to strengthen its engagement with farmers and highlight issues affecting the agricultural sector in the state.
The announcement was made by Amarnath Panjikar, Chairman of the Media & Communication Department of the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee.
