PORVORIM: A major traffic disruption was reported on Atal Setu after a collision involving seven vehicles resulted in a pile-up along the busy stretch.
According to one of the drivers, the incident occurred when his car reportedly skidded after hitting an oil spill on the road, leading to a loss of control. This triggered a chain reaction, with several vehicles behind crashing into each other.
While the accident involved multiple vehicles, no injuries were reported. However, the pile-up caused significant traffic congestion, slowing movement on the route.
Authorities are likely to review the situation and address safety concerns, as the presence of oil on the roadway has raised questions about maintenance and monitoring.
