FATORDA: Goa Forward Party (GFP) Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai, claimed that the “sextortion” controversy has emerged out of nowhere to draw attention away from the cash-for-jobs fraud.
“An opposition MLA is a complainant in the matter of’sextortion,'” Sardesai stated. An investigation is underway. Creating a new “X” account, which was originally known as Twitter, making statements about the case, making something viral, and then deleting the handle are all examples of ways to deflect attention away from the cash-for-jobs scam. The problem has begun to reverberate on a national scale.
Sardesai went on to say that organizations are trying to hide the problem.
“If a judicial investigation into the cash-for-jobs scam is not ordered, the rationale for that must be explained. There are currently concerns that when people attempt to make complaints, FIRs are not being lodged.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) reaffirmed its call for a judicial investigation into the cash-for-jobs scandal, claiming that the BJP administration is attempting to deflect attention from the crime by focusing on the “sextortion” case.
According to AAP Goa Vice President Valmiki Naik, “The BJP has a tendency to tolerate corruption before suppressing it.” They are attempting to deflect people’s focus. About 50 persons have been arrested in relation to the cash-for-jobs fraud, and up to 32 FIRs have been filed thus far. There are about 100 victims. Pan Goa is a scam. According to Goa Police, the scandal has been going on since 2014, and the BJP has been in control in the state ever since.
Is it possible for any scam to carry on unnoticed by the government? It can’t. Those who are attempting to uncover schemes are being intimidated by the chief minister and other politicians. In order to stop the victims from naming additional suspects, the BJP administration is threatening them, Naik claimed.
However, we won’t give up until the guilty are held accountable. We want a court investigation and more people to be encouraged to lodge complaints,” he stated.
