CANACONA: A new toilet block constructed under CSR by Nestle India Ltd at Shri Nirakar Vidyalaya Mashem was inaugurated on Monday.
“Though the Government of India has launched the Swachh Bharat mission recently, Nestle India Ltd has been working towards Swach Bharat for the last many years. Presently, our organisation is working hand-in-glove with the government in the direction of Swachh Bharat’, Nestle India Ltd Senior Manager (Corporate Affairs) Mario Fernandes said at the inaugural function, further thanking Shree Nirakar Education Society for providing them the opportunity to accomplish their mission of Swachh Bharat.
Speaking on the occasion, Shree Nirakar Education Society Chairman Prashant Naik thanked the management of Nestle India Ltd for fulfilling their long pending demand of proper Sanitary facilities at the school. “My students and parents are indebted to you for providing us with the toilet block” Naik said.
President of Shri Saunsthan Nirakar Narayan Prabhu Gaonkar, President of Parents Teachers Association Dipali Prabhu Agrasani also spoke on the occasion.
Headmaster of the school Urvee Phaldesai welcomed the guests and teacher Rahul Gaonkar proposed a vote of thanks. The function was compared by teacher Ujwala Lolayekar.
