PANAJI: The High Court of Bombay at Goa today has granted conditional bail to accused James D’Souza in the Siolim firing and attempt to murder case.
Notorious criminal D’Souza, a prime accused in the shooting incident in Siolim, was once an integral part of the very system meant to uphold law and order, the Goa police force.
Akshit Shetty had lodged a complaint that accused James, along with four others, had entered his Restaurant at Vaddy Siolim, assaulting him with some hard object, abusing him, damaging the glasses and after that, removing Pistol and firing on his business partner Mr Uday.
Already 3 persons are in custody. Accused persons, namely James Savio D’Souza s/o Santan D’Souza, age 44 yrs r/o Dhuler Bardez Goa and Mohammad Sahid Maniyar s/o Mohamamd Umar Ali, age 29 yrs r/o Karaswada, Bardez Goa were traced at Morjim Pernem Goa.
The Pistol which was used to fire had been seized from the instance of accused James D’Souza.
