PANAJI: Goa government has made Teachers Eligibility Test(TET) as an essential qualification for direct recruitment of all the teaching posts at the elementary level.
Pointing out that the under Right to Free and Compulsory Education Act 2009 and Rules 2012, the Recruitment Rules prescribed by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) are applicable to all the recognized elementary schools, the circular issued today by the Directorate of Education has specified that the TET has to be conducted in accordance with the guide lines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.
