PANAJI: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Goa Unit today held a protest outside the BJP Goa office against Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s arrest in the Delhi liquor scam case.
AAP Benaulim MLA Captain Venzy Viegas said Delhi is firmly in AAP’s grip.
“2020 Assembly BJP was thrashed. 2023 MCD, they got thrashed. Now in 2024, they will…BJP is clearly rattled. So the world’s best education minister Manish Sisodia is arrested in a false case to tarnish AAP by caged parrot CBI. The truth will prevail,” said Venzy
He further said that the youth of Goa are looking towards developing of Education sector like Delhi.
AAP Leader Valmiki Naik alleged that only AAP leaders are being arrested for gaining popularity among the masses.
“Our Leaders be it, Sisodia or Satyender Jain, are being targeted. People of India know who Manish Sisodia is, he has begun a revolution for India in the field of education,” he added.
The Aam Aadmi Party also lashed out at the BJP-led government over Manish Sisodia’s arrest, with calling it “height of dictatorship.
Sisodia was arrested after nearly eight hours of questioning on various aspects of the excise policy for 2021-22 in connection with alleged corruption in the now-scrapped policy relating to the sale of alcohol.
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal claimed Manish Sisodia was arrested due to political pressure.
The medical examination of Manish Sisodia was done at the CBI headquarters today and he will be presented before the Rouse Avenue court at 2 pm.
