THIVIM: Colvale Police have arrested two persons in connection with the theft of plumbing and electrical materials worth ₹52,600 from an under-construction house at Sai Colony, Thivim.
The complaint was lodged by Shetappa Lakshman Lamani on August 11, stating that an unknown person had entered his under-construction house during the intervening night of August 10 and 11 and stolen several items.
The stolen property included a Gravity brass shower mixer, three brass taps with accessories, copper earthing wires, electrical wires of different colours and a grinder machine with its wire, among other items.
Following the complaint, Colvale Police arrested Rizwan, 21, and Abu Tahim Mulla, 23, both residents of Dakshin Dinajpur, West Bengal, at around 8.21 pm on August 11.
Police said all the stolen property has been recovered.
The investigation is being conducted by PSI Vishnu Jadhav of Colvale Police Station.
