PONDA: Ponda Police have registered a case following a complaint by Gautam Fadte Gaonkar, a resident of Housing Board Colony, Curti, Ponda, who alleged that he was cheated of ₹2,67,600 by a travel agent in connection with an international holiday package.
According to the complaint, between December 8, 2025 and February 17, 2026, accused Siddharth Kapoor, a travel agent and Managing Director of “Heaven Holidays” based in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, allegedly induced the complainant to book a Maldives vacation package.
The complainant paid various amounts towards the booking, package cost and TCS tax through Google Pay and ICICI Bank credit card, amounting to a total of ₹2,67,600.
Later, the accused allegedly informed him that the trip was cancelled due to the Middle East war situation. However, the accused allegedly failed to provide the vacation package or refund the amount, causing financial loss to the complainant.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Bansal Naik of Ponda Police Station.
