BAGA: Tourist Police personnel deployed at Baga Beach, in coordination with a team from Udaipur Police in Rajasthan, traced an accused wanted in connection with a murder case on Sunday evening.
The accused was located at Baga Beach on August 9, 2026, at around 7 pm following sustained efforts by Tourist Police personnel Ashok Thanekar, Hemant Kotkar, Nagesh Parsekar and Chadru Nilgur.
The suspect is allegedly wanted in connection with the murder of a woman in a case registered as Crime No. 442/2026 at a police station in Udaipur, Rajasthan.
After tracing the accused, the Tourist Police secured him and handed him over to the Udaipur Police team for further legal proceedings.
The successful operation highlights the role of Goa’s Tourist Police in assisting law enforcement agencies from other states in tracing persons wanted in criminal cases.
