PORVORIM: The Executive Engineer, Work Division-VII (NH), PWD Panaji, has announced a traffic diversion on NH-66 at Porvorim from May 27 to June 15, 2026, to facilitate the smooth and speedy completion of ongoing road works.
According to the order, the right-hand side stretch of the existing NH-66 from the approach road of A2 near Neo Majestic Hotel up to Gauri Petrol Pump, Porvorim, will remain closed for all types of vehicular traffic during the period.
As per the diversion plan, traffic moving from Panaji towards Mapusa will be diverted through the left-side service road near Neo Majestic Hotel. The connecting road from Pundalik Nagar near P82 at the Delfinos junction will also remain closed.
Meanwhile, vehicles travelling towards Mapusa from Betim will be allowed to use the existing right-side service road of NH-66 from P85 near Gauri Petrol Pump.
Authorities have stated that suitable and safe access will be provided for local residents and establishments located along the affected stretch.
The diversion has been implemented keeping in view commuter safety and to ensure hindrance-free execution of the project.
