MAINA CURTORIM: In a major breakthrough, the Maina Curtorim Police have arrested two accused persons involved in a vehicle theft case registered under Cr. No. 88/2025 under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023.
The arrested accused have been identified as Prince alias Savio Fernandes (35), resident of Partoloi, Maina Curtorim, and Myron Fernandes (18), son of Joao Fernandes, resident of Datolin, Maina Curtorim, Salcete.
During investigation, the police managed to recover stolen vehicles at the instance of the accused, including three Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycles, one Yamaha RX motorcycle, and one TVS Scooty.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of PI Arun A. Gauns Dessai of Maina Curtorim Police Station.
Police said further investigation is underway to ascertain the involvement of the accused in other similar theft cases in the area.
