CANACONA: Canacona police registers two UDs (unnatural deaths) as a 49-year-old man commited suicide, while a 53 year old dies after a tree-fall on Saturday in Canacona.
According to Canacona PI Chandrakant Gawas, Tulshidas Kankonkar, 49, a resident of Kindlem committed suicide by hanging in one of the room rafter of his house. It is however not known what has conspired to take the extre step. Kankonkar is survived by his Wife and two sons. His body is cremated at Kindlem on Saturday.
In another incident, 53 year old Prabhakar Gaonkar of Shishegal, Poinguinim died after he fell from a Tree.. He has reportedly climbed a tree to pluck the wild-flowers (Champpea-fulam), where his hand skipped to hold and he fell down, resulting in his death, informed sources. Gaonkar reportedly an employee with forest conservation leaves behind his wife and three sons.
According to Canacona police after the conduct of post-mortem, both the bodies were handed over the relatives for conduct of last rites on Saturday
