VASCO: Vasco Police have registered a case against a resident of New Vaddem for allegedly stalking, harassing and criminally intimidating a woman over several months.
According to police, the complaint was filed by a Vasco resident whose identity has been withheld. The complainant alleged that between November 14, 2025 and May 12, 2026, the accused, identified as Triloknath Kerkar of New Vaddem, repeatedly stalked and harassed her after they became acquainted at a family function.
Police said that despite the complainant clearly expressing disinterest and refusing contact, the accused allegedly continued to follow her and attempted to establish unwanted personal communication. The complaint further stated that the accused mentally harassed the woman by allegedly misusing his claimed influence as an advocate.
The complainant also alleged that during March 2026, the accused intentionally insulted her modesty and dignity by making vulgar remarks and obscene gestures in public view.
Further, the accused allegedly abused and criminally intimidated the complainant and her family members by threatening them with dire consequences.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Akanksh Fadte Dessai of Vasco Police Station.
