VASCO: A case of assault has been reported from the Bogmalo road area in Dabolim after a Vasco resident alleged that he was abused and attacked by a group of unidentified persons late on June 13.
According to the complaint filed by Sudarshan Rajput, a resident of Alto Vaddem, Vasco, the incident occurred at around 10 pm when he was confronted by approximately seven to eight unknown persons. The group is alleged to have formed an unlawful assembly and used abusive language against him before physically assaulting him.
The complainant stated that he was slapped on the back and near the back of his neck, resulting in injuries.
Following the complaint, Vasco Police have initiated an investigation into the matter. Further inquiry is being conducted by PSI Suresh B. Velip of Vasco Police Station.
