PONDA: Ponda Police have initiated an investigation after a woman was allegedly assaulted and stabbed by her husband at St. Cruz, Ponda, on September 10.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred at around 7.45 pm when the accused, identified as Ramesh Gondhali, a resident of St. Cruz, Ponda, and originally from Belgaum, Karnataka, allegedly assaulted his wife with a knife.
The complainant alleged that she sustained stab injuries to the right side of her abdomen during the incident. The assault was allegedly linked to the accused’s suspicion regarding her character.
Further investigation is being conducted by PSI Ashish Velip of Ponda Police Station.
