Vasco: Around 250 indirect ground staff of Indigo Airlines on Tuesday afternoon went on a strike demanding rise in salaries and change of duty manager
Aggrieved staff said that for the last few years there had been no salary rise and that basic payments made to them were not sufficient.
Workers said that despite several requests, the manager would tell them to leave the job and the HR department would not entertain their requests.
Worlers said that all workers would not join back till the salaries were increased or manager was changed .
Some workers who had been retrenchment after retirement said that there was no clarity on the PF as well .
Workers said that salaries were not increased since last three years and all the staff had gathered on the Airport In protest since 7 am . Workers said that they had called their manager for discussion but there was no response and that there was news that airlines would get staff from outside to replace the striking workers
