QUEPEM: The directorate of Art and Culture department has taken the initiative to promote talent in rural areas such as Rivona village in the field of art and music.
Directorate of Art and Culture in collaboration with Village panchayat Rivona and Utkarsh high school, Rivona Sanguem, to organize summer festival for children.
In this function, activities like National integration songs, Dance, Craft, and Rangoli to motivate locals from rural areas of Rivona Sanguem were held.
Directorate of Art and Culture department in charge of this summer festival at Rivona Agnieszka Pednekar said that this summer festival organized at Utkarsh high school Rivona is to motivate and help those children who have talent in dance, craft, and Rangoli.
She further said that this is a unique stage for students and children from the village to get inspiration and education from music and craft teachers to learn basic things from the related field. It also motivates them to come forward and build their future, Pednekar said.
While interacting with dancing teacher Smita Chari, she said In village Rivona we got good support from local Rivona panchayat and Utkarsh high school; she said around 41 students came forward to learn with the help of their parents. She further said there is good talent and enthusiasm in girls to learn dancing and other activities.
Music teacher Satish Hegde said that there are talents and visions in these children. Still, we need to guide them properly to make them aware of their capabilities, so with the help of our department and the Directorate of Art and Culture department Sagun Velip has given good support to organizing the summer festival in Rivona.
