Team Goemkarponn BAGA: The Bardez Taluka Civil Supplies Office has seized illegally stored petrol during a raid on a shop near the Royal Enfield showroom in Baga, officials said. Acting on specific intelligence, a five-member enforcement team led by Assistant Director Deepa Fulari carried out the operation. The team included Inspector Rajiv Sawant and Sub-Inspectors Rohit Talankar, Sarvesh Naik Tuyekar and Sadhashiv Kandeparkar. Team Goemkarponn MARGAO: A 74-year-old man from Seraulim, Colva, died while undergoing treatment at Goa Medical College (GMC), Bambolim, after reportedly suffering a fall at his residence. According to police, Herbonio Fernandes was referred from the South Goa District Hospital (SGDH), Margao, to GMC on July 29 for further treatment following the fall. He later succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment. The body has been preserved at GMC, Bambolim, for medico-legal formalities. Further enquiry is being conducted by PSI Anil T. Team Goemkarponn PANAJI: Two men injured in separate self-accidents in South Goa have succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment at Goa Medical College (GMC), Bambolim. In the first case, 68-year-old Jose Rodrigues, a resident of Upasnagar, Zuarinagar, Mormugao, died at GMC on July 29. Police said Rodrigues had met with a self-accident at Velsao in Verna on July 12. He was initially admitted to the South Goa District Hospital, Margao, before being referred to GMC for advanced treatment, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
