According to police, the incident came to light in the early hours of May 5 following a call received from the PCR unit. According to police, the accused, identified as Nawazkhan Khanazade, a resident of Reis Magos, was caught red-handed on May 4 at around 6:45 pm near a wine store in Panaji while accepting money bets on numerical digital numbers from members of the public.
