Team Goemkarponn VASCO: An unidentified man, aged around 30, was found dead aboard the Vailankanni Express at Vasco railway station on Thursday evening. The incident came to light at around 5.16 pm after the Deputy Station Manager, Vasco, informed the railway police through a written memo about a male passenger lying unconscious inside the train. Team Goemkarponn BARDEZ: The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) conducted a surveillance drive across Bardez taluka, inspecting six food businesses, including sweet and farsan manufacturing units, and ordered two establishments to suspend operations over unhygienic conditions. During the inspections, the FDA team destroyed 320 kg of farsan valued at Rs 64,000 and 185 kg of mawa worth Rs 37,000. Officials said the food items had been prepared and stored under unhygienic conditions, while the mawa was found to have been kept without proper refrigeration.
