Goemkarponn desk PANAJI: Directorate of Panchayat today has disqualified Sangolda Village Panchayat Deputy Sarpanch Ulhas Morajkar for misappropriation of Panchayat funds amounting to Rs.16,10,926 through self withdrawal from Panchayat Bank account. As per information, Morajkar stands removed as member for the present term of the panchayat and shall continue to remain ineligible for re-election till 19/05/2026. Ulhas Morajkar d been elected unopposed as the new sarpanch of Sangolda panchayat in 2021. The post had fallen vacant after former sarpanch Avinash Naik had submitted his resignation citing personal reasons.
