PANAJI: Sunburn 2023 organizers have recently announced that ‘Sunburn 2023’ will be held in Goa from 28th to 31st December 2023 at Vagator beach like every year. Also, the names of International artists who will appear in the festival have also been announced.
Due to the ‘Sunburn’ festival, Goa’s civility and social health is deteriorating. Festivals like ‘Sunburn’/’EDM’ promote perversion and destroy the youth generation through ‘drug culture’! Hence, the Hindu Janajgruti Samiti (HJS) has appealed to Dy. Collector of North Goa Smt. Sandra De Souza to banish the ‘Sunburn’ festival from Goa forever and preserve the cultural identity of Goa.
The HJS delegation comprised of Mr. Ramdas Sawaiverekar of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jay’; Mr. Govind Chodankar, North Goa convenor of HJS; Mr. Shushant Dalvi; Mr. Dilip Shetye; Mr. Ashok Haldankar and Mrs. Pratibha Haldankar.
The HJS’ Memorandum further mentions that Neha Bahuguna, a 23-year-old girl, in the ‘Sunburn’ festival held at Candolim Beach in 2009, Mumbai-based fashion designer Esha Mantri at a similar festival, ‘Supersonic’, held at Candolim Beach in 2014 and other youth at the ‘Sunburn Festival’.have died earlier due to suspected drug overdose! ‘Sunburn’ festival which is harmful to social health is being organized in Devbhumi Goa.
‘EDM’ festivals like ‘Sunburn’ are addicting the younger generation and glorifying Western perversity. It cannot be tolerated that the young generation of Goa gets addicted to western distortions. Organizing ‘sunburn’ is cultural treason. It is our responsibility to protect Gomantak culture and the youth of Goa! Goa should be free from ‘EDM’.
