MARGAO: Colva Police have registered a case against a Benaulim resident for allegedly assaulting and threatening a woman at Colva.
According to police, the complaint was filed by a woman resident of Majorda, whose identity has been withheld.
Police said the incident occurred on April 30, 2026, at Colva, when the accused, identified as Calvin Fernandes, allegedly pushed the complainant without provocation and abused her in filthy language at a public place, thereby allegedly outraging her modesty.
The accused also allegedly threatened the complainant with dire consequences, including threats to kill.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Prathamesh Mahale of Goa Police at Colva Police Station.
