BETIM: A 40-year-old man was allegedly abused and assaulted with a cutter following a dispute over matka gambling activities near Betim ferry on October 15.
The complainant, Mohammad Usman Hazarat, a resident of Penha de France, Bardez, alleged that Rajaul Karim Sheikh alias Ranaji, 56, a resident of Verem, Bardez, assaulted him on his left hand with a cutter, causing injuries.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred around 2 pm in an open area near the complainant’s shop close to Betim ferry and was linked to a dispute over matka gambling activities.
The case was registered on October 15, and further investigation is being conducted by PSI Akshay Gaonkar.
