PANAJI: A Bihar native man has been arrested from Mumbai for allegedly kidnapping 8-year-old child from Bicholim.
The accused identified as Feko Kumar was nabbed from Kalyan, Mumbai by Bicholim police and the child was rescued from his custody. The child was missing since March 13.
At the outset, a clue was received that the suspected accused person namely Mr Feko Kumar who is residing in the neighbouring rented room of the complainant was nowhere to be seen and his present whereabouts were not known.
As such, two different teams were formed and dispatched to Mumbai, Maharashtra on the basis of mobile phone location of the suspected accused person.
Eventually, a Police Team headed by PSI, Sunil Patil (Investigating Officer), succeeded in apprehending the suspected accused person at Kalyan Phaata, Dahisar, Mumbai, Maharashtra.
The apprehended accused was thoroughly interrogated, however, he neither co-operated with the investigation nor disclosed any positive information that would lead towards tracing the kidnapped minor boy.
Furthermore, with the hectic efforts and skillful investigation, the Bicholim Police teams could find out the movement of the kidnapped minor boy with the help of CCTV cameras installed in the vicinity and finally traced the kidnapped minor boy at Kalyan, Mumbai.
The accused is presently remanded into 6 days Police custody.
