PANAJI: Goa Pradesh Congress President Amit Patkar today has slammed Chief Minister Pramod Sawant for his statement wherein he had said that Congress had insulted Sanatan Dharm.
“We at Congress condemn this statement. In Goa we live in communal harmony. The BJP is trying to spread hate among the people. I guess he is making such statements as told by his high command,” said Patkar.
He further said that people of Goa do not want talks on communalism but want employment and women protection.
“BJP is spreading hatred among people. CM talks big on communal harmony but he has failed to protect Hindu dharm in Goa,” he added.
Patkar said that many temples being demolished in the name of development.
Patkar also said that from 2014 onwards there has been an effort to create division.
“Communal tension, price rise, murder, crime, unemployment are on the rise. Goa has been witness to all these issues,” he added.
He further said that people of Karnataka have shown how to get rid of this BJP politics.
When Modi started Vijai Yatra, he had promised special status for Goa, where is it today?
He had said he would start mining in three months but now it is ten years but it has not started.
“We must come together to stop the hatred and division that BJP is spreading.” he added.
