CURCHOREM: A dead body of a vegetable vendor named Mallesh Bala Naik (36) from Xeldem, Curchorem, was found lying in the bushes opposite the fire brigade building at Curchorem.
According to police sources, his family is from Belgaum, but he was born and raised in Goa. The deceased has been missing since Tuesday morning. He was last seen at the footpath where people go for a morning walk near Santoshi Mata temple in the morning.
According to Curchorem police, that body was found down in the field in bushes opposite Santoshi Mata temple.
Police got information from his relative that he is a married person and he is survived by his wife and two sons.
Further, his relative said that Mallesh was a vegetable vendor and had a shop in GSUDA market Curchorem, but due to his alcoholic condition and diabetes, his health was in very poor condition, and that’s why he was kept under observation due to the wound on his leg.
Deceased relatives also think that there are no suspicious things about his Death because he was depressed and was undergoing treatment due to ill health.
There are chances that he might have fallen down from the top where he was seen yesterday morning.
Curchorem police are investigating the case. Unnatural Death has been registered by Curchorem police. The body has been sent for preservation in District hospital Margao, and the postmortem of the body will take place on Thursday, informed Curchorem police station inspector Sagun Sawant.
