CANACONA – In a rare honour, Canacona Municipality has been Awarded in ISL (Indian Swatchta League) for the movement for Garbage Free Cities.
Canacona Team is shortlisted as Awardee for ISL below 15k Population/Category, while Vasco da Gama city finds ‘Special Mention’ in the 50K-1L category. Both teams were shortlisted from Goa for the Special Felicitation program on 30th Sept in New Delhi as part of the valedictory session of the Swatch Sehar Samvad and Technology Exhibition.
A delegation from Canacona and Vasco da Gama are invited to attend the Swatch Sehar Samvad and Azzadi@75 Swatchh Survekshan Awards scheduled to be held from 29th Sept to 1st Oct’2022 in New Delhi.
Swatch Bharat Mission -Urban – Joint Secretary and Mission Director Roopa Mishara, in a communique to SMB-U Goa Mission Director Gurudas P Pilernekar, while conveying the award, complimented Goa State for displaying a strong commitment towards the vision of Garbage Free Cities.
