CALANGUTE: Calangute Police have registered an Unnatural Death (UD) case following the death of a 54-year-old man who was brought dead to the Primary Health Centre (PHC), Candolim, after an alleged drowning incident at Candolim Beach in Bardez.
According to police, on 1 June 2026 at around 12:30 hrs, a medical memo was received from the on-duty medical officer at PHC Candolim informing that Satish Udhav Bhosale (54), resident of Jule Solapur, Maharashtra, had been brought dead to the casualty section after being found in a drowning condition at Candolim Beach.
Following the information, police initiated preliminary enquiries. Statements recorded from the deceased’s wife indicated that no foul play was suspected in the incident.
The body of the deceased has been shifted to Goa Medical College (GMC), Bambolim, for medico-legal formalities.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Saieel Vaigankar of Calangute Police Station.
