Canacona/Cuncolim: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant inaugurated the new building of the Goa Agricultural Produce and Livestock Marketing Board Sub Yard at Nagarcem, Canacona, in the presence of Cabinet Minister Ramesh Tawadkar and other dignitaries.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Sawant said the new facility would strengthen agricultural infrastructure, empower local farmers, and promote sustainable rural development in the Canacona region. He appreciated the efforts of the Goa Agricultural Produce and Livestock Marketing Board and all stakeholders involved in completing the project.
The Chief Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting Goa’s farming community through improved market access, storage, and value-chain systems, ensuring that farmers receive the recognition and returns they deserve.
Later in the day, Dr. Sawant distributed forms under the Mhaje Ghar Yojana in both Canacona and Cuncolim, in the presence of Minister Ramesh Tawadkar, local representatives, and officials.
Addressing the gatherings, the Chief Minister said the strong public response reflects how vital the scheme is for Goan families. He reiterated that under the Mhaje Ghar Yojana, the government is dedicated to providing rightful home ownership and housing security to all eligible citizens, urging them to apply within the next six months.
