PANAJI: Goa Forward Party (GFP) President Vijai Sardesai today said that Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has failed to deliver his promise of restarting mining activities within six months.
“Mining will restart today? CM Sawant’s promise to restart mining in 6 months of forming #govt stands as another blatant lie as he completes six months today,’ said Sardesai
He further said that resumption of mining was never his intention and BJP Goa has ruthlessly cheated mining dependents of their votes.
Speaking on Vigilance enquiry on Kala Academy renovation works, Sardesai said that CM Sawant must approve the file immediately to find out how corrupt today’s Shahjahan is and how many Taj Mahals he’s planning for himself, failing which Goans will have reasons to suspect that Shahjahan has a senior partner in this scam.
The GFP Chief also urged the state government and CM Pramod Sawant to get proactive and take all necessary steps to contain the spread of Lumpy Skin Disease in Goa that’s decimating livestock in India.
“When will 100% vaccination be achieved? Govt callousness and inaction mustn’t lead to another disaster,” he added.
Slamming Sawant for failing to provide justice to his two ministries, Home and Mining, Sardesai had accused Sawant of only being interested in a fishing expedition for MLAs so as to silence the voice of the opposition.
Sardesai had claimed that the attempts to bring in opposition MLAs into the BJP are being made as the CM does not want an Opposition leader in the Assembly or for his government to be questioned about their wrongdoings.
