VASCO: Goa First NGO’s Parshuram Sonurlekar has filed a complaint against a private school teacher from Headland Sada for allegedly provoking people and taking part in anti-social and objectionable activities, publically burning effigies of politicians.
In his complaint, Sonurlekar has stated that a primary school teacher (name withheld), from a private school in the Sada area and reportedly a national political party volunteer was seen actively protesting against Congress party leaders. Further, this primary school teacher was reportedly a part of effigy burning activity with filthy abusive mannerism.
Sonurlekar further added that this teacher was allegedly involved in fuelling the effigies at the Government school premises at Jetty Mormugao, wherein hundreds of people were gathered at a protest in solidarity with their political leader on December 16. In the complaint, it has also been mentioned that the teacher also shouted slogans against the opposition political party leaders.
Such an act by a teacher who happens to be the role model for the children and society will surely hamper the teacher’s image that everyone idealizes.
Further in his complaint Sonurlekar has urged the education department to sack such a government employee who was reportedly earlier involved in contesting Councilor election in Mormugao municipal council without informing his department or taking any NOC from the department. “I urge the Education Department to hold an inquiry on this teacher,” said Sonurlekar.
