PANAJI: The Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) on Monday held a strategic meeting to discuss programmes and initiatives aimed at strengthening the party organisation and expanding its outreach among the people of Goa.
The meeting was chaired by GPCC President Girish Chodankar and attended by Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao, Working Presidents Altone D’Costa and Carlos Alvares Ferreira, along with M.K. Shaikh, district presidents Assiz Noronha, Rajesh Verekar, Mangaldas Naik and Shashank Narvekar.
During the meeting, party leaders reviewed the prevailing political situation in the state and exchanged views on strengthening the Congress organisation at the grassroots level. Discussions focused on enhancing public engagement, expanding the party’s presence across Goa and improving communication with citizens.
The leadership also deliberated on upcoming programmes, mass contact campaigns and strategies to effectively raise issues affecting the people of Goa.
Congress leaders reiterated their commitment to working collectively to safeguard Goa’s interests and present what they described as a strong, people-centric alternative to the BJP-led government in the state.
The meeting concluded with a renewed emphasis on organisational unity, grassroots mobilisation and greater public outreach in the months ahead.
