MANDREM: A Goa court has reportedly raised serious concerns over the handling of an investigation by Mandrem Police while granting bail to an accused in a criminal case.
During the hearing, the judge is learnt to have questioned the manner in which the investigation was carried out and expressed dissatisfaction over certain procedural aspects presented before the court.
The court observed that the prosecution had failed to establish sufficient grounds for keeping the accused in continued custody and subsequently granted bail.
The remarks made by the judge have drawn attention to investigative procedures and adherence to legal norms during criminal investigations.
Legal observers said the court’s observations underline the importance of proper documentation, lawful procedure and balanced investigation while seeking custodial detention of accused persons.
