PANAJI: Students from the Porvorim constituency who have excelled in the Class 10 and 12 Goa Board examinations conducted in March-April 2026, as well as graduate students, can now apply till May 31 for the annual felicitation ceremony organised by Porvorim Rising.
In a statement issued here, Porvorim Rising announced that the deadline for submission of applications has been extended to ensure that all eligible students get an opportunity to participate in the initiative.
The annual felicitation programme is aimed at recognising and encouraging academic excellence among students from the constituency. This year, the initiative has also been expanded to include meritorious graduate students for the first time.
Students securing more than 75 per cent marks in Class 10, Class 12, or graduation are eligible to apply for the honour. The felicitation programme covers students residing in the panchayat areas of Socorro, Salvador do Mundo, and Penha de França.
Porvorim Rising stated that the initiative was conceptualised by Tourism Minister and Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte with the objective of motivating students to strive for academic success and inspiring others in the community.
Applicants are required to submit their mark sheets along with residence proof of Porvorim constituency. Applications can be sent via WhatsApp on 7887809750 or through email at info@pywt.in.
The organisation said the felicitation ceremony will be held shortly after the completion of the application process.
