DHS asks clinical establishment to register before March 31

PANAJI: Directorate of Health Services has informed all Clinical Establishments including single doctor clinics which are in existence at the time of commencement of the Goa Clinical Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act, 2019 to apply for provisional registration before March 31, 2023.

It is further informed that, as per Section 8 of the Act “No person shall run a clinical establishment unless it has been duly registered in accordance with the provisions of the said Act.”

Section 38 of the Act states that “Whoever carries on a clinical establishment without registration shall be punishable with summary closure of the facility and fine which may extend to fifty thousand rupees for first contravention, two lakh rupees for second contravention and five lakhs rupees for any subsequent contravention.”
