PANAJI: Senior Deputy Election Commissioner, Election Commission of India, Dharmendra Sharma, IAS reviewed Special Summary Revision 2024 (SSR 2024), Training of officials, Law and Order and other subjects related to preparation for upcoming Lok Sabha Polls 2024 from November 3rd to 5th.
Sharma and other ECI Officers held a meeting with the Chief Electoral Officer, Collectors of North and South districts and Superintendent of Police of Both the Districts. Sharma asked the officials to submit information of dead voters and duplicate voters in a time bound manner.
A presentation was also showed highlighting the comparison of 2019 Lok Sabha and the current demands of 2024 Lok Sabha Polls. The preparation of districts were reviewed in detail, however Sr DEC Sh Sharma asked both the Collectors to monitor activities in the field.
He Also suggested to collect certificates from all field officials on dead / duplicate voters and
submit the same in a time bound manner . CEO Goa was also suggested by senior officials of Election Commission of India and urged to discuss with district teams on weekly basis.
