Panaji: Goa’s Erica De Sequeira of the Academy of Combat Sports Goa (ACS-GOA) clinched the gold medal in the women’s 52kg Sanda category at the ASMITA Khelo India Wushu City League 2026.
Competing in the 52kg division, Erica produced a strong and composed performance throughout her bouts, displaying technical ability, determination and fighting spirit inside the ring. Her consistent approach helped her secure the top position in the competitive weight category.
The gold medal adds another notable achievement to Erica’s growing record as one of ACS-GOA’s prominent competitive athletes. She showed confidence under pressure and maintained her intensity until the final stages of her bouts.
Her performance also highlighted the growing participation and success of Goan athletes in Wushu competitions, with Erica representing both her academy and the state on the competitive stage.
Coach Ronnyy and the entire ACS-GOA team congratulated Erica on her achievement, recognising her dedication, hard work and consistent training behind the victory.
